I think some people are having trouble posting the reports in the hoped for fashion!
The purpose of having certain details presented, and in a neat manner,
is to allow readers to access it easily, and the search engines to digest the data.

I'm not offering any 'set' rules for posting reports, and Elena,
feel free to correct or add to what I'm trying to say.

As the board and database GROWS, it is crucial to have the messages and forums somewhat orderly, and searchable!
I know Elena doesn't have the time, or I, to help you 'clean up' your postings.
Please try to post them in a somewhat accepted fashion, or be willing to dive back in and edit them!
I understand there are varying levels of computer skills out there......I'll try to help if I can, but don't have much time.
Somewhat neat, space between the letters and pictures, try to reduce picture size to 600 Pixels wide, at the most.

VICTIMS:It's important that you publish your information! Try to understand the details we need.
hey may not make much sense to you., but it allows us to connect up other scam attempts with your 'lady'.

BAITERS: This is primarily a board for 'victims'. Take that into account when you post your reports.
Your information is needed, particularily some of the advanced intelligence you may have.

(A 'Baiter' is someone who corresponds with scammers for entertainment, to expose the scammer....or both!)

BEFORE YOU POST A SCAMMER or SUSPECTED SCAMMER, PLEASE READ!
Please 'search' this board and site for an existing report on your scammer! Search her name, and email address, at the least.
In the header, at the top right of each page of this board is the text 'search'. Click on that, you'll be taken to a 'search' page.
Search the email address, and name of your suspected, or known scammer.
If there is an existing message thread on that EXACT person, add your comments/report to that thread!
Don't start another 'Olga Scammernova' thread!
If the PICTURES or email address used is different, or the set of letters, you can start a new thread.


I'll use 'Olga Romanova, et al' as an example to post a report.
She's very prolific, has used over 50 names, and is always 'out there'.
Her letters and script are pretty short, also.

I'll comment in colored text, with some suggestions and explanations along the way.
If you want, you can start the report with a brief narrative about where you 'met' her.
EXAMPLE: She contacted me on Yahoo IM.
Note, if she contacted you on some site where she has posted a viewable profile,
it's nice to cut and paste that info into your report, somewhere. Sometimes the picture of the girl,or other details,
will be different in the letters and profile.
(Often the profile will change, or vanish once she gets some attention.)
Try to leave some blank spaces between letters and pictures.
VICTIMS, or POTENTIAL VICTIMS: Personally, I think it's OK to post a message in 'Suspected',
once you're into a relationship with a possible scammer.
Wait until you've got at least a handful of letters, and see some OBVIOUS signs she is a scammer.
Be sure, but I'd start your message in 'suspected', to be safe.
You can use your message as a 'worksheet' of sorts as you continue the relationship.
Please add further findings, comments, or letters, to the same message thread..
Don't start a new one!

PLEASE, don't throw a 'suspected' message up for every girl you run into on a dating site.

We can't ferret out the scammers for you while you search for love.

YOU CAN, but it sometimes takes several letters to start to see the obvious signs.

YOU CAN DO THE WORK! It's not hard. We can help you!



No set order, but FULL NAME, if possible, CITY, BIRTHDATE, or AGE, EMAIL ADDRESS,
and IP info should be first. Maybe she hasn't give a birthdate, or city? Ask in your next letter. Dittos, surname!
You want her to claim to be in SOME city, so you can verify it against the IP in the email headers.
Whatever address or phone number she has give, although we know it's FAKE, list it! They re-use them.
Some of you may have spoken to somebody on a phone, usually a non-traceable cell phone. List that number!
You were not likely talking to the girl in the pictures!
Sometimes you'll get the address of a relative....LIST IT!

If she has sent 'unusual' pictures, that stand out, include them.
A bikini, or seductive pose, strange facial expression, strange setting.
This girl uses these pictures of her balding redheaded friend often,
so I'll post one in here.
You want to post enough pictures to make it interesting, and to identify her, but we don't need 40 pictures of the same girl, no matter how cute she is!

GOOGLE CLUE!!! In the above letter, note the spelling of 'Siberia State Univercity'.
She always spells it that way. GOOGLE 'univercity' and you will be led to her letters on the 'net!
Sometimes you don't notice strange phrases or words right away.
Once you have sufficient letters to work with, laying them out in the posting format, sometimes help you see more strange things you missed.
I think it's OK to use a message thread as your 'workspace', as long as you don't start a thread without sufficient material, do it in a neat manner,
and add any additional information to the SAME MESSAGE THREAD! Don't start a new message thread with every little detail on the same girl!
Of course, post it in SUSPECTED, unless you're sure, by the standards of this site, that she's a scammer.
You can always ask that it be moved to SCAMMERS later.

You can insert personal comments in between the quoted letters.
HER letters provide the most information, but, you can say something like
"I asked her a question and she didn't answer, or 'I sent a picture of me nude, and she didn't comment.'
Whatever!
You can give us some idea of the flow of the letters, without posting your letters, which she probably didn't read, anyway!

MORE INFO: Post what you can find! Did you google her letters and find the same letter being used with other names, and pictures?
Did you find her face in a scammers gallery somewhere, same name,or other name?
Did you find other reports on scams by this person?
List the links in your report!

TIPS/EVIDENCE YOU ARE DEALING WITH A SCAMMER!

It's 'too good to be true'!!
A beautiful young girl is interested in a much older man.

She seems to 'fall in love' quickly in her letters.

Russian scammers often include some mention of 'Russian Men drink too much, no good!'

Her EMAIL headers show she is somewhere,
other than where she claims to be!

The pictures are of 'pro' quality, and could be of a model,
or the pictures all seem to be of a 'series'.
(Same settings, clothing.)
The pictures are numbered 'simply'. (Picture 01, 3, 12, etc.)
You can find her pictures being used with other names!

The letters don't seem to answer any of your questions, or ask you any real questions
, in regard to the content of your letters.
(Did you tell her you live in a treehouse? Did she comment?)

You can GOOGLE her letters, and find they are used by scammers!

She asks for MONEY by Western Union.
(Favorite mode of scammers, easy to collect in any RUssian city
, little identification required, easy to pick up, and vanish.....)
She wants you to send her money for VISA and TRAVEL expenses,
or to an 'agent', usually with a 'free' email service address.
The VISA fees are inflated, and in reality,they are almost impossible to get!

She asks few REAL questions about you, and where you live.
If you were going to uproot and move somewhere, wouldn't you really like to know a little about it?
Don't misinterpret the 'generic' comments and questions in the letters to be personal!

The letters sometimes show up days after being written, or, if she does answer a question,
the answer may appear in 2-3 letters LATER than the 'next' reply.
(The letters are usually 'pre-written', and pre-scheduled.)

Other than mention of 'bad Russian men', or an 'ex' who mistreated her,
she doesn't mention socializing with men at all.
Frequent mentions of outings with girls, sitting at home knitting.....and you look at the pictures of the 'hot' girl, and wonder......


You may have sent few, or no pictures of yourself, yet you are 'handsome', and she talks about 'sexual' attraction.

She contacted you on a dating site. Check your 'profile views'.
Often they don't look at your profile.
Check HER profile. Is the picture of the same girl?
Do the details match what she says in the letters?
Does your blue eyed cutie have brown eyes in the profile?
Is she a 'Doctor' in her profile, but a store clerk in her letters?

Is she too willing to travel FAR AWAY, to meet you?
What happens if you suggest visiting her?


Has she mentioned she knows somebody who met, and married a man,
in this fashion?

Has she mentioned 'people at work notice a difference in me,
they say I'm in love....', or some variation!

Post the basic information on somebody you at LEAST suspect is attempting to scam you, and we can try to help.

Once again, identifying the scammers isn't hard. YOU can do it!
It takes a little research, and some work.

Posting your information here means some potential victim may be able to find it.
It helps, and annoys the scammers. I like that!

Hi Stepan, I have several letters , at least one of the letters I have found on Russian Detective used previously with photos of a different girl.
Would you like this posted in "suspected" or "scammers", bearing in mind that no money has been mentioned as yet. She has just decided we should be together

Either is fine, although I think the tie to the letters is enough to put her in 'Scammers'.
Easy enough to move.

I made this post a Sticky Note, so it stays on top. Somehow we need to work this post into the instructions in the main boards.

I see i didn't do my report well. Maybe i should edit it and include everything? My replies? This could get a little um embarrassing but maybe necessary. At least I didn't send money, even if my heart pride and self respect took a beating.
