I am currently being scammed and I only found out today. The letter I received from the scammer last night was written to one of your members last september (I cant remember the members name right now) but it is in this forum. It is the one from * * regarding having breakfast and making Russian pancakes. I have not checked yet but I suspect that a lot of the mails or parts thereof that I received may be in this site. The beginning of each mail appears to be personalised and then they become vague (the copied bit)

I have already replied today and said I would reply again tomorrow. Do you think that the scammers have access to this site? Should I follow up with the scammer. I would do so if it would help get these ladies caught.
I am really glad I didn't get scammed and began to investigate once I got suspicious. I did not add the scammers name above so that if the scammer googled it they might find this message.

One thing for sure never send money good thing you found this site in time.If you suspect that it is a scammer you should start by posting the email address, emails,photos and some headers that the scammer send you.
With some luck some one might have seen similar emails in there inbox.

The best thing as suggested by Jack is to post up the email address, the letters and photos. Also include the email headers, they provide heaps of information.

I'll have a look later to see if we can track down the letter used before, but if you post yours the search will be much easier.

I answer to your question about scammers reading these notices, well it is a public forum so that the answer is yes. I wouldn't worry about them reading your specificly, if your concerned at all just drop it. I've baited 100's of scammers and I have no concern.

I think you should not ignore her future letters and keep corresponding with her as long as you can. The aim is to keep the scammer busy and to get as much information as possible: last name, photos, address, phone numbers, letters, copy of the passport ... All this will be very useful in the future to limit the action of other scammers.

You should only continue if you have not given out any personal information about yourself.
