I'm new to the board so please excuse me if I cross any lines... This is the most active board I can find... Others have been in the past but haven't had any activity since 2005-2006....
I have been writing to a few Russian / Ukraine women and most have turned out to be scams... I have used the services of some agencies only to realize after months of writing you're getting no where and spending lots of money... So, what is a man to do? Take a "romance tour" ? Sorry I'm not interested....
After lots of thinking, I have decided that actually living in Russia or Ukraine would be benifitial for her and I both... Relationships take time to develop and we'd have time to get to know each other before committing to a serious relationship / marriage... I just need a place to ride horses and everything will be just fine with me... Not a hard guy to please...
If anyone can provide some down-to-earth information about housing markets, cost of living, and of the availability of western restruants, I would greatly appreciate it... I am retiring from the US Navy and don't have much holding me here...

Have you check Ru Adventure forum? Several Americans/Canadians who moved to Russia are posting there, or at least they used to post there.
