I'm a new member - found your site by mistake and boy I'm glad I did. my question is are any websites less likely than others to be full of scammers. I joined a website called cherryblossoms.com and got talking to a number of women (maybe). They all wanted to communicate outside the site (strange that) so I said ok. Thanks to your forum I now know how to check headers and the IP addresse. The problem is not one of the women who have made contact has an IP address in the city they say they live in.

Are there really any Russian women looking for partners or is it all a scam

Some of the smaller sites are in fact better and have legitimate women on them and provide a reasonable service. Don't worry there are lovely Russian women out there who do wish to find their men in the west. Your search will be worthwhile in the end I'm sure of it. My search ended nine years ago.

Yes there are honest sites of course, I dont recall CherryBlossoms is one of them though, but I have had no personal experience of them. A snoop around here or any of the other forums will soon educate you as to which of the bigger sites to avoid.

As Bomber suggests above, smaller agencies like my wifes Ladagirl and Richards Tver Angels allow one to build a rapport with the owner. A personal service, no scammers and a reasonable price should be factors you seek with smaller agencies. Often a smaller agency will know their women personally, the price you pay for this is lesser choice of women of course.

Larger sites like Elenas you will be building no rapport with anyone, you will just be paying your money and taking your chance. That does not mean a larger site is a bad thing, you get more choice perhaps, but also you have a bigger possibility of meeting a scammer or an insincere lady.

Guys have married women they met at all three of the above, there is no magic formula, one must just snoop around a few sites and find the people you like to work with, who work the way you like to work.

It takes time to find the right agency - even longer to find the right lady.

So, what would be so wrong about posting a sticky of recognized legitimate agencies for the benefit of the members?

Why make everyone retrace steps that have been traveled and validated? Shouldn't proven agencies be identified here for those that follow?

Unfortunately its hit and miss for all sites. I think if you exhaust yourself looking you will still find that for every site where a scammer has been identified legit girls have also been found. Its the nature of the beast. The perception to these scammers is that anyone who needs a dating site is probably desparate enough to fall for the scam. You can almost bet that the better the prospect the odds of the scam are much greater. They are used as bait to pull us in. Who goes to a dating site to find homely ugly specimines if you have your choice. How many gorgeous girls who are grounded post their pictures on a int'l dating service and find love the old virtual way.
