So what can these scammers do with a persons name and cell phone number? I was asked for it from the scammer i reported, i didnt give her the info, i stopped all corespondence,, just wondering how far they can get with a name and phone number

It's usually done as a test of your belief in them. Don't give them out and they're safer dropping you because you're not playing ball. What guy wouldn't want his beautiful Olga to phone him and say how much she loves him unless he's suspicious? Of course, if they have it and you mess them about, if they're in a bad enough mood it wouldn't be rocket science to find out a lot more about you than you'd want them to know. If you really want to talk to them, get yourself an unregistered, untraceable SIM card and give them that number.

thanks wayne,, i think i'll just stick to the women in my own backyard, at least with them i know what to expect,, it amounts to the same thing ,,shopping dinnner dates basicly money, but at leats ya get to look at the person in the eye while she's scamming you ,,ha ha

When it comes to dealing with scammers you want them to have all the expenses. In all the time I've dealt with them I've only ever phoned one, the rest had to phone me. But you do make a very good point about Skype. That's what I used to phone "her".
